We are just a few weeks away from the bloom of one of America’s favorite spring flowers, the Tulip. Tulips bloom at different times throughout the spring growing season- some as early as April, while others bloom in May and June.

Something else that blooms this time of year- annual Tulip festivals! These festivals are held in great destinations around the country, predominately in cities with Dutch heritage.  If your Coach is headed in the direction of one of these cities, be sure to take a little time to smell the tulips and check out a festival!

Held every April since 1983, Skagit Valley, Washington celebrates the spring season of flowers including daffodils in late March, tulips in April and irises and lilies in May. Attractions include the Tulip Festival Street Fair, Tulip Parade, Kiwanas Club Salmon BBQ, art shows and Quilt Walk. This year, due to mild temperatures and rain, blooms are moving along a little ahead of schedule.
