RVBusiness Names Entegra Embark 29V1 as 2026 RV of the Year

November 10, 2025

ELKHART, Ind. – Since just before COVID became a thing, the RV industry has been working feverishly on devising an electric-powered motorhome that strikes a challenging balance: enough power to haul a Class A payload yet with enough range to get campers beyond the city limits.

While various manufacturers have achieved some levels of success in the Class B segment, results in Class A’s proved elusive. However, strides began to come fast after THOR Industries partnered with California-based Harbinger Motors in 2022, and the two developed a hybrid-powered prototype that was available for test drives during the 2024 Elkhart RV Open House in northern Indiana.

Now, those efforts have come to complete fruition and the result is the 2026 Entegra Embark 29V1, which took an impressive bow at the 2025 Open House. Inspired by European design, powered by North American ingenuity and built by Entegra Coach, the Embark delivers the ultimate in travel freedom, comfort and sustainability — all while alleviating range anxiety.

Primarily due to its innovative platform — but not to discount its creature comforts and sleek design — the Embark has been chosen by RVBusiness as its 2026 RV of the Year.

“Electrification will play a central role in the future of mobility, including RVing,” THOR Industries President & CEO Bob Martin stated when announcing the introduction of Embark. “This first-of-its-kind electric Class A motorhome reinforces THOR’s innovation leadership and offers unparalleled product differentiation for the Entegra Coach brand.”

“With the reputation of Entegra Coach, we are certain that it is the best brand to bring this project to life,” stated Ken Walters, president and CEO of the Jayco Family of Companies, which includes the Jayco and Entegra brands, among others.
